“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it, we go nowhere.”

Thank you for stumbling upon my homepage!

My name is Benedikt Geiger, and I’m a curious and detail-oriented Master of Science in Computational Visualistics with a deep passion for XR development, computer graphics, and computer vision.

I grew up in Bavaria, Germany, where my fascination for visuals and technology began early. As a child, I immersed myself in drawing, photography, and creating simple video games—laying the foundation for a career that combines creativity and programming.

My parents introduced me to the world through travel from a young age. I’ve been fortunate to visit numerous countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and South America, and participated in school exchanges in both Great Britain and Texas, USA. These experiences sparked my love for languages and intercultural exchange.

After graduating from Hallertau-Gymnasium Wolnzach, I pursued my passion academically by studying Computational Visualistics at the University of Koblenz. During my studies, I discovered the potentials of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies that instantly captivated me. Furthermore, I learned Chinese for one year. As part of my university’s Buddy Program, I mentored international exchange students, supporting them in integrating into life in Germany and the academic environment. I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s theses as XR projects—each graded with top marks (1.0).

Through software development roles, I built professional expertise in computer vision, eye tracking, and AR. I also founded a personal photography project called “Mirage Pictures”, focusing on portrait, landscape, and still life photography. One of the goals of this project was to photograph individuals struggling with depression and self-doubt in ways that would help them see their own beauty and rebuild self-worth. I also launched a short-term social media account called “XR101_News”, where I shared insights and updates from the XR industry. I decided to expand my intercultural and linguistic horizon by spending a year studying Thai and Japanese at Sarotorn Phayathai Language School in Bangkok, Thailand. During that time, I also traveled across Asia, deepening my global perspective.

Currently, I am working on a personal project in my free time: a game titled “HomeScape”, which allows players to design, furnish, and experience their dream virtual home—on both desktop and VRI’m always excited to explore new ideas, solve meaningful challenges, and create immersive experiences that bridge art, tech, and human connection.
